Waggoner, Clayton Leon, age 80 of Powell. Born July 27, 1929 and went to be with the Lord on March 8, 2010. Member of Milan Baptist Church. Employed by Dempster Brothers and Knox County Sheriff’s Department. Served in U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was an avid golfer and coached men’s softball at Winona/Caswell Park for many years. Preceded in death by parents Manford and Hettie Waggoner; brothers Roy and David; sisters Nell West and Edna Waggoner and son Michael. Survived by his loving of wife of 55 years Anna Cox Waggoner; daughter and son-in-law Pamela and James Hunter; grandson Brent Hunter and fiancée Cassie Cox and children; sisters Louise Laws, Janie Janeway and Mary Alice Janeway; best friend Monte Elkins and several beloved nieces and nephews. Funeral service at 8:00 pm Friday, Mynatt Halls Chapel with Rev. Michael Viles, II and Rev. Terry West officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:30 am Saturday at funeral home and proceed to Milan Baptist Church Cemetery for an interment service at 11:00 am. Family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Friday Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel. |
