Text: Cook, Taylor Floyd, age 76 of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully Friday, March 5, 2010, at Mercy Residential Hospice in Halls. He attended Pleasant Gap Baptist Church. Our loving father was preceded in death by wife, Peggy (Coffey) Cook; parents Samuel and Louvernia (Lay) Cook; brothers Jack, Owen, Minnis, Lynn, Walter and twin brother Ailor Cook; sisters Alvilda Shoffner, Lucy Eastridge, Ann Shoffner and Lillus Cook. Survived by daughters and son-in-laws Teresa and Joe Mower, Kim and Richard Tarlton, Jennifer and Louis Johnson and son and daughter-in-law Keith and Tammy Sproles; grandchildren Cindy, Stacy and husband Jeff, Leslie, Shane, Samuel, and Maddie; and great grandchildren Blake, Taylor, Esther, Kden and Jacey; brothers Lonnie, Deward and Glen Cook and sister Joyce Clark along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends including a very special cousin and friend Harold (Sandy) Lay. Service will be at 8:00 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel with Rev. Phillip Hayes and Rev. Jeff Timbs officiating. Family and friends will meet Monday at 10:15 am at the funeral home and proceed to Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery for an interment service at 11:00 am. Pallbearers will be John Coffey, Jeff Cook, Todd Cook, Keith Sproles, Jeff Timbs and Charlie Varner. Family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 pm Sunday at Mynatt Funeral Home Halls Chapel.
