Rev. Howard (Bunny) Hurst, age 80, of Knoxville, passed away February 2, 2010 at St. Mary’s Medical Center. Pastored for over 50 years at Westside Baptist Church and Vestal Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and camping. Preceded in death by daughter Sharon Gail Jones, sister Patsy Hurst, brother Capp Hurst, and parents Walter and Nellie Hurst. Survived by wife Pauline Hurst; sons Danny Hurst, Dennis Hurst, and Johnny Hurst; daughters Diane Lynn and Debbie Smithey; 9 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren. Service 8PM Wednesday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City with Rev. Louie Branch and Rev. Wiley Shelby officiating. Family and friends will meet 10:45AM Thursday Bookwalter Cemetery for interment at 11:00AM. Family will receive friends 6-8PM Wednesday Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City. |
